Sonim does not run a high-profile unlock program like Xiaomi's Mi Unlock or Samsung's Knox, so unlock availability comes down to the exact model, region, and firmware — many Sonim handsets expose the standard OEM Unlocking toggle and unlock cleanly, while some carrier or budget variants ship locked.
