Where a Microsoft device does run Android, rooting follows the standard path — unlock the bootloader, then flash a Magisk-patched boot image over fastboot — but availability depends entirely on the individual model and its age. Older hardware often lacks the OEM Unlocking toggle and community firmware that modern rooting relies on.
